Hue Festival 2010 |

Vietnam Airlines is contributing to the success of this year’s Hue Festival, which promises to be even bigger and better than last year.
With the theme “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, this year’ Hue Festival will celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the founding of Thang Long – Hanoi and th 50th anniversary of the friendship between Hanoi, Hue and Saigon. The Hue Festival 2010 will run for nine days, from June 5th to June 13th, 2010 in Hue city, Thua Thien province. |

This is the sixth Hue Festival for which Vietnam Airlines has been a key sponsor. The event promotes Vietnamese culture and tourism spots, and showcases Hue’s ancient royal court, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Indeed, this year’festival will forcus on World Heritage Sites and ancient capital cities around the world .
The festival aims to promote international artistic exchange and socio-economic development, contributing to the advancement of Vietnam’s tourism industry. This year, art troupes from five continents will attend the festival. To date, 31 nations have registered to participate, with more than 40 performance groups coming from places like France (The Festival’s main partner), Britain, the United States, Italy, Russia and China.
To contribute to the event’s success, Vietnam Airlines is donating 400 million VND to the Festival Organizing Committee in the form of cash and free air tickets on both international and domestic routes during the Festival.
Over the years, Vietnam Airlines has made great efforts to contribute to the success of the Hue Festivals. These events promote the national carrier’s image as a bridge that brings Vietnamese culture to the world.
