Originally proposed as a temporary demarcation line between the communist controlled north and the "democratic" south, the DMZ became the permanent border between North Vietnam and South Vietnam for almost 20 years. During the war, The DMZ was the fiercest and bloodiest battlefield.

Back To The Vietnam Demilitarised Zone ( DMZ)

Our Guide & driver meet you at your hotel in Hue at 7:30 am and drive to Quang Tri. We make our first stop at Hien Luong Bridge (Ben Hai River) - an important landmark in the partition of the country into Northern and Southern Vietnam along the 17th parallel by the Geneva Accords of 1954. Just another 30-minutes drive will take you to the Vinh Moc Tunnel - the shelter of 60 local families during the Vietnam War.

ONE of the trip highlights should not be missed is the Khe Sanh Combat Base - a United States Marine Corps outpost in South Vietnam. Other places include in this trip are Ho Chi Minh Trails, Dong Ha Market and Rock Pile.

Drive back to your hotel in Hue late afternoon.
